What to Expect at Your Thermography Appointment?
Getting ready for your thermography appointment is simple — but a few small steps can make a big difference in ensuring your images are clear, accurate, and useful for your health journey. Here’s a quick guide to help you feel confident and prepared before your visit.
👕 What to Wear
For your comfort and the best imaging results, wear loose, lightweight clothing to your appointment. Avoid tight-fitting items that may leave marks on your skin, as these can affect the thermal images.
💎 Remove Jewelry
You will be asked to remove all jewelry in the area to be imaged. If you cannot remove certain jewelry pieces such as nose or belly rings, just let us know so we can note it.
🚫 What to Avoid Before Your Appointment
To help capture your body’s natural thermal patterns, you’ll want to skip a few things the day of your scan:
-
Lotions, oils, or creams – These can create a barrier on your skin.
-
Super hot showers or baths – Skin temperature may alter results.
-
Tanning beds or recent sunburns – Both can impact accuracy of imaging.
-
Coffee or Hot Beverages – These can in increase heat and affect your results.
